Explore the story behind Adotec Gear

Gear for the Wild. Designed for the Journey.

Jeremy and Laura Corneil are the heart of Adotec — passionate adventurers who have spent years creating ultralight gear designed for real-world adventure. From the Arctic Circle to Key West, their journeys inspire every product they build.

Our Mission

Introducing Jeremy and Laura Corneil! Jeremy was raised in small-town Ontario, where his father instilled in him a deep appreciation for nature on the family farm and through Scouts. His adventurous spirit took him on a solo motorcycle journey across Canada, solidifying his love for the outdoors.

As a kid, Laura enjoyed climbing trees and building forts. Her passion for travel and adventure grew with age, taking her across Europe solo. She’s lived in France and explored 9 European countries on her own.

Together, they continue to seek new adventures—road-tripping across Iceland, celebrating New Year’s in Key West, or chasing the Northern Lights in the Polar Bear Capital of Canada.

How It All Began

In 2017, Jeremy and Laura set out on their first serious backpacking adventure on the Mdaabi Miikna Trail in Pukaskwa National Park. With every step, they discovered the joy of walking through remote places with nothing but essentials on their backs.

But with heavy gear and sore muscles, they quickly realized there had to be a better way. That journey sparked their obsession with lightweight, functional gear.

Since then, they’ve hiked thousands of kilometers, fine-tuned their setups, and brought Adotec to life. Their trails include The Bruce Trail, La Cloche Silhouette Trail, Pukaskwa Coastal Trail, Lake Superior Coastal Trail, East Coast Trail, Casque Isles, and Heaven’s Gate.
