Description
GENERAL Stuff sacks are ultra lightweight bags closed off at the top with a draw cord. They let you conveniently compartmentalize your gear and supplies inside your pack or for portability around camp. We offer five draw cord color options so you can stay organized and quickly reach for the bag you need (color-coding is awesome!). The material used to make stuff sacks is 100% waterproof DCF, but water can still get in at the top opening. For a much more waterproof storage solution consider our Roll Down Bags.
WHAT CAN I FIT? The X Small size is ideal for storing single clothing articles (base layers, socks, t-shirts), snacks, hygiene products, rope, headlamp, water filter, or any other small loose items. The Small size is a bit bigger so it can fit slightly bulkier clothing (mid-layers, some soft shells), food, small tarps and footprints, and all the stuff from before. The Medium size is great for combining several clothing articles or a single one (sweater, small jacket). It is great for food storage and compact cookware. Ultralight tarp shelters and sleeping pads should also fit. The Large size can accommodate big clothing, food, cookware and most 1-person tent/shelters. You might even squeeze a tiny sleeping bag, but we recommend a waterproof Roll Down Bag for that. The X Large size can fit all of the above, and should be enough to fit 2 to 3-person lightweight tents and most sleeping bags (again, we suggest a Roll Down Bag for the latter).
SIZES X Small – 1.2 L (6.5 g), Small – 1.8 L (7.5 g), Medium – 3.7 L (10 g), Large – 7.3 L (13.5 g), X Large – 15 L (19.5 g)
Still uncertain? Have a specific item in mind and not sure if it will fit? Drop us a line, and we can suggest a suitable size.
NOTE As with all DCF products you should avoid sharp objects as they may puncture the material. But if you do happen to get a cut or puncture, repairing DCF is super easy on the fly by simply gluing a patch over the hole. So why not add some Repair Patches to your order, just might be the best few bucks you spend, and adds less than 1 g to your trail weight.
