GENERAL   Made with 100% waterproof DCF_1.0oz. This material provides adequate abrasion resistance when brushing against vegetation. Features a water-resistant Uretek® zipper and taped seams. An adjustable shock cord draw-string keeps the kilt snug around the waist. Weight: 51 g.

WAIST  This kilt accommodates waist sizes under 32. Actual kilt measurements are: waist circumference: 39 inches; bottom circumference: 52 inches; length: 26 inches. Since DCF is not stretchy, a much bigger waist circumference is needed to allow freedom of movement when walking; and so you can wear the kilt over bulky clothing. Not recommended for wait sizes exceeding 31 inches.

The kilt rides down to your calves keeping your shorts and legs above the knee dry while providing ventilation. Coupled with waterproof shoes and gaiters, even in heavy rain, that’s really all the protection you need. The zipper opens all the way for easy on/easy off in seconds when the weather keeps changing. Zip all the way for maximum rain cover or adjust zipper position on the go to allow for desired freedom of movement when climbing over obstacles.

ADDED FEATURE   We’ve installed two mini-magnets on the bottom of the kilt. When taking average strides, even with the zipper part-way undone, the magnets keep the kilt flaps together and close to your legs, so it won’t flap around in the wind. But when you need to step over an obstacle, the magnets unclip without restricting movement, and snap back together when normal stride resumes. So you get maximal rain protection without constantly adjusting the zipper when traversing uneven terrain.

MORE USES  Protects well against windchill too, so you can quickly put it on for warmth when traversing in and out of wind-exposed areas. Use this kilt as a small ground sheet for sitting on lunch breaks or laying out your gear. The compacts size lets you stuff it in a pocket or front pack for easy access on the move.

NOTE   As with all DCF products, avoid sharp objects as they may puncture the material. But if you do get a small cut or tear, repairing DCF is super easy on the fly by simply gluing a patch over the hole. You can add some Repair Patches to your order.
