" Create a custom tarp that perfectly matches your needs and range of applications! "

How It's Made:

The DCF material of your choice is cut to specified size and shape.

A quarter-inch fold-over trim is glued around the entire perimeter to prevent fabric tears.

Tie out points are reinforced with tougher material. A wide base distributes tension across a wider area.

Tie outs can be placed on the corners, along the edge, or anywhere within the tarp boundary.

Choose between a line tensioner or a D-ring at each tie out point. (Line tensioners are great for quick and easy guyline setup, they work with 2mm jacketed cord like this. A simple D-ring lets you use whatever cord you have and your own knot system)

A small 'ADOTEC' logo and a 'Crafted in Canada' stamp will be printed near a corner.

Extras: (e.g. cord, pre-made guylines, pegs, stakes, storage bag) can be added.

To get an idea of what the final product looks like, check out the stock options we offer here.

All custom made tarps are final sale and NOT eligible for returns. However, like all our products, they are covered against manufacturing/material defects as described in our Warranty/Returns/Repairs Policy.

The cost of your tarp will be calculated on a 'case-by-case' basis depending on complexity of design. You will be provided with a quote once you submit a design.

  • Material costs will depend on availability of pre-cut panels and whether off-cuts can be salvaged for other projects.
  • Labor costs will reflect the size and complexity of the design.  Non-rectangular tarps will generally be a bit more expensive.

***  PRICES BELOW ARE IN CANADIAN DOLLARS   ***

Approximation: 8ft x 7ft cut, assembly and trim (without tie-outs) is around $310 CDN; a 10x10x10x6ft trapezoid is around $460 CDN due to awkward off-cuts and additional seam)

  • Tie out points installation (line tensioner or D-ring anchor) from $5.00 to $10.00 per tie out (depending on quantity, type and location)
  • Pre-made guylines yellow (with mini hook) $0.60-0.80/ft (example here)
  • Bulk cord (one uncut section) $0.40/ft (cord info here)
  • Titanium pegs $5.00/ea (see here); titanium stakes $5.50/ea (see here)
  • Storage bag (DCF draw sting stuff sack) made from DCF_1.0oz sized for your tarp $20.00 - 25.00 depending on size
  1. Tarps may not exceed 13 feet (i.e. the biggest sheet of material you get to work with is 13x13ft)
  2. We can only make straight-line edges (curved cuts are generally not allowed)
  3. Tarp corners may not have an angle of less than ~60 degrees
  4. Tie out points must be separated by at least 8"

NOTE: additional limitations may exist.

Once your design is approved and payment is processed, the lead time to build your tarp is usually 1 - 3 days (excluding weekends and statutory holidays). Very complex orders may take longer; if so, we will give you more accurate estimate.

You can get an idea of how much your tarp will weigh. However, this weight breakdown is only for rough approximation. Every design will vary a bit.

Dyneema® Composite Fabric material

  • 0.5oz: Weight 0.055oz/sqft  (1.56g/sqft)
  • 1.0oz: Weight 0.11oz/sqft  (3.1g/sqft)
  • 1.4oz: Weight 0.155oz/sqft  (4.4g/sqft)

Trim (along the entire edge of tarp): Weight 0.018oz/ft  (0.5g/ft)

Middle seam (length of longest tarp dimension): Weight 0.035oz/ft  (1.0g/ft) (NOTE: a tarp may have one or two middle seams)

Tie out point: Weight approximately 4.0 – 5.0g each

Cord: Weight 0.029oz/ft  (0.82g/ft) (NOTE: if ordering pre-made guylines add 0.35oz (1.0g) per unit)

Titanium pegs:  Weight  0.19oz/ea  (5.5g/ea)

Titanium Stakes:  Weight  0.41oz/ea  (11.5g/ea)

DCF storage bag:  Weight 0.25 to 0.36oz  (7.0 to 10.0g)

***   SAMPLE CALCULATION   ***

For a 7 x 10 ft tarp from DCF_0.5oz with 10 tie out points, no guylines or other extras:

  • Material:  7ft x 10ft = 70sqft  x 1.56g = 109.2g
  • Trim: 7ft+10ft+7ft+10ft = 34ft  x  0.5g = 17.0g
  • Middle seam: 10ft x 1.0g = 10.0g
  • Tie out points: 10 x 5.0g = 50.0g

TOTAL: 109.2 + 17.0 + 10.0 + 50.0 = 186.2 grams

Once your design is approved, you will receive a unique item code (e.g. 'CUSTOMTARP_0000'). Go to the Custom Tarps Product Page and find your code in the drop-down list. Then just 'add to cart' and checkout.
